Thomas Dean

WEEK 1
A.
This image is a photo montage done on photoshop for a previous course that I completed last year. The course was Design Communications in the Landscape Architecture program. Our task was to take a piece of the UNSW campus and alter the image to create something new and excited while still leaving 30% of the original image. We had to include certain objects such as a body of water, trees, and people.
B.

This image is of the well known Queen Victoria Building located in Sydney's CBD. I found this building interesting as it as one of the last standing fascinating pieces of Architecture left in Sydney. The external beauty of the building is carried on inside, where you can find high arches and wonderful works of art. The QVB was designed by George McRae and completed in 1898.
C.
This image was taken by Gary McParland and is titled 'Entwined'. I found this image on a website where the author encourages viewers to capture the beauty of nature, which can be represented with trees. The author of the site, Bill Jones provided a set of 30 inspirational images of trees and their surrounding landscapes.

This video expresses the creative uses of architectural glass throughout everyday life. A variety of glass is represented in model as I believe that glass is a wonderful material to design with.
